Kashi TLC Original 7 Grain Crackers

Kashi TLC CrackersKashi TLC Crackers are all natural snack crackers. I had the Original 7 Grain and the very visible whole grains in these crackers make them really crispy and crunchy. Try them topped with Laughing Cow Light Spreadable Original Swiss Cheese Flavor Wedges for a super delicious snack. Each cracker is about 11/2 the size of Cheez-Its, so one serving of 15 crackers can actually make a very filling snack.

The only criticism I have with this product is that the first ingredient is unbleached wheat flour. The ingredients following that are all whole grain flours, but I would love to see the elimination of the "non-whole-grain" first ingredient.

One serving of Kashi TLC Original 7 Grain Crackers (15 crackers) provides 130 calories, 3 grams of total fat (5% of the recommended daily amount) but no saturated or trans fats, a low 160 mg of sodium and 22 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 2 grams of fiber (8% of the RDA) and 3 grams of sugar.

The name might suggest that there is a lot of fiber in these crackers, so I was a little disappointed about that. Still, the wholesome ingredients and pretty good nutrition facts makes this go straight to my munchies list. One thing though - the little grains tend to get stuck in the teeth, but I still love them!

My favorite is their Country Cheddar variety. Move over, Cheez-Its!

These are a staple in my kitchen. I either like to pair them with tuna and mayo, or, like the author stated, Laughing Cow Cheese (especially the Garlic Herb!)
